Olsen twins name apparel veteran to run empire

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Teen moguls Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen have appointed an apparel veteran as CEO of their merchandising empire Dualstar Entertainment Group, the twins' spokesman said Thursday.

Diane Reichenberger will oversee the design, marketing and sale of products for the mary-kateandashley line of fashion, health and beauty, home furnishings, entertainment and lifestyle items targeted at young girls, a statement said.

The veteran of such firms as closely held jeans maker Levi Strauss & Co. and retailer Gap Inc. replaces Robert Thorne, a lawyer who helped transform the Olsens into a worldwide marketing phenomenon during a 15-year partnership. The twins in January initiated a buy-out of his large minority stake in Dualstar a few years ahead of schedule.

"We are so happy to have found an executive who fully understands both the creative and marketing aspects of our business," said Mary-Kate Olsen, who serves as co-president and co-owner of Dualstar with her 18-year-old sister.

  • I would like to know who Diane Reichenberger is. I have some privet stock in one of Dualstar’s companys. If you find out please let me know and if I can find something out with my guys I will send this site what I find.
