Among the many stresses of Fashion Week, the proverbial ‘what to wear’ dilemma dominates. In a world where the real fashion show is in the audience rather than on the runway, it’s essential to bring your A-game. To hop from one show to the next for Day One of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week SS ‘09, I decided to take advantage of the humidity that refuses to break and rock one of my favorite summer buys - a strapless Elizabeth and James dress. To add some high-fashion to this contemporary look, I slipped into my tried-and-true Christian Louboutin patent slingbacks and threw a slouchy Chanel bag (AKA the love of my life) over my shoulder. With my signature layered necklaces and some simple bracelets, I was all set to go. Now it’s show time!
