Dailynews.com - Man stabbed, wounded at the home of rock musician John Ondrasik. The intrusion and stabbing surprised residents of the upscale Encino neighborhood just north of Ventura Boulevard, which is home to such Hollywood stars as Ray Romano, Edward James Olmos and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Comedian Phil Hartman (house) was shot and killed by his wife in a nearby home in 1998.

The millionairess, 18, whose twin sister and co-star MARY-KATE is recovering from an eating disorder, spoke to the crowd congregating in the West End through a cellphone to compensate for her no-show.

Fan LAURA BERESFORD, 13, says, "I was in shock - I love the girls. Ashley told me that she was sorry she couldn't be there."

On July 15, she went shopping at a nearby Abercrombie & Fitch store, according to Us Weekly. After the sibs bought matching button-down shirts, the gang went to a local eatery where Mary-Kate ordered a frozen custard. The following night, the Olsens caught a 7:15 p.m. showing of The Notebook, complete with sodas and popcorn.

Pagnotta declined to detail Olsen's treatment plan but says: "She's going to enjoy the rest of the summer doing day-to-day things like shopping, going to dinner with friends and family, and going to movies. She won't be hiding."

Nypost.com/gossip - AMERICAN Media is standing firm behind its story that Mary-Kate Olsen has entered rehab for cocaine addiction, not anorexia, as her camp has claimed. The magazine empire's biggest titles, the Star and the National Enquirer, both published cover stories trumpeting Mary-Kate's alleged addiction this week, complete with photos purporting to show the teen queen checking into the Cirque Lodge, a rehab clinic in Utah. And despite threats of legal action, American Media mouthpiece Stu Zakim gloated yesterday, "If they were going to sue us, they would have done it already. Nothing has come forward and that only reinforces the validity of our reporting. We knew how explosive this story would be, and it's been fact-checked and fact-checked and fact-checked. We have all the confidence in the world that our reporting is on the money." Zakim predicts both weeklies "will sell incredibly well on the newsstand." Olsen spokesman Michael Pagnotta said he had not seen the Enquirer, but, "If it's the same kind of reporting as in the Star, which we consider to be false, then it would likewise be evaluated by our attorneys. The bottom line is that Mary-Kate was not admitted for drugs, period."
