You know it’s fashion week when Victoria Beckham comes to town, and she did just that yesterday, treating us to a brand new hairdo in the process…

It was the big one – the Marc Jacobs show – and Posh used the occasion to debut her super-short, raven black crop. Posing with a newly-trim Jennifer Lopez, the Spice Girl later joined Mr Marc himself for their usual fashion week love-in.

And it seemed as though the monochrome trend we saw on the catwalk on Saturday had taken hold of the fashionable crowd. Victoria wore a fitted black strapless dress and Jennifer sported a sexy white frock, whilst Nicole Richie – also in attendance – wore a black leather skirt, white vest and sequinned headband. The only one not following suit was stylist Rachel Zoe, who opted for a pink satin dress. Let’s just hope Nicole didn’t run into her…

And, speaking of Nicole, it seems as though one fashion show simply wasn’t enough for her, as she also caught the Proenza Schouler show the same day – and bumped into another supposed enemy in Mary-Kate Olsen. Nicole was reportedly recently unhappy about MK’s close friendship with Joel Madden, Nic’s boyfriend and father of their daughter Harlow. There were no signs of any friction yesterday however, as the pair happily chatted to one another on the front row.

Elsewhere, the Diesel Black Gold show attracted a fine front row, with model Petra Nemcova and singer Juliette Lewis joined on the front row by couple-of-the-moment Daisy Lowe (looking adorable in a bowler hat) and Mark Ronson. Over at Peter Som, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld looked every inch the French Vogue editor’s daughter in a satin skirt worn under a belted green cardigan, whilst actress Renee Zellweger caught the Carolina Herrera show in a chic grey dress.
