Anorexia is not something you just get over one day and stop… it’s a long process and I don’t think that Mary-Kate has fully healed… I’m not saying that she is doing bad or worse she is definitley doing amazing and working her way through her problems but having an eating disorder is super hard to deal with not only for mary kate but as well for Ashley… The constent stress and worry about Mary Kate must eat her alive…. I think that Mary Kate is not fully recovered and that’s a big reason why she doesn’t discuss it… One day I really truly think she’ll be ready to personally open up about her experiences but until then you can’t blame her for not wanting to talk about it… it is an illness and it is something she is probably extremely embarrased about… so congrats to her for everything she’s done so far and I hope she continues to heal alongside ashley and that when she’s ready to open up about it she does… because I think hearing her story and her struggles will help many girls and boys who struggle with the disease…

I disagree that MK doesn’t have the responsibility to talk about her eating disorder. Her company markets itself to YOUNG GIRLS. Young girls are the most susceptible of all groups to EDs. They want nothing more than to copy MK. If you don’t believe me just google pro-ana sites and see how often MK comes up as “thinspiration”. It’s only by talking about it that you can move on - look at Jamie Lynn Siegler, the girl from Growing Pains, and Drew Barrymore with drugs. Do people still bug them about their problems?NO. But they did a world of good.

its not her responsibility. its unfair to put such a burden on her. she has enough pressure on her already. its worrying about what other people think too much that made her sick.
to cure herself she had to learn to be strong and put herself first. did you ever think it must be very depressing for her to talk about it especially in a national interview? some people dont mind spilling their guts on tv but she is not like that. she’s different. everyone is different. mary-kate and ashley are more private than most celebs.
also, if she lets them talk about her private life there would be no end to it. thats all they want to talk about because its sensational. those interviewers do give a rats ass about helping anyone. they just want ratings. she wont give them the satisfaction.
as for being a role model, shes being enough of a role model by proving you can get over that disease. no need to say anything. actions speak louder than words. all of her fans saw her with the disease and now see her cured and happy. no words could replace that.
it’s a pity MK won’t talk about her anorexia. She is a role model and young girls look up to her and want to be her. There are a lot of girls on the verge of DEATH from starving and she could help them, but instead she pretends she was never sick. I resent her deeply for that.
