>> New! Photo-shoot of Mary-Kate and Ashley’s Adult Fashion Line — The Row

April 26th, 2007 - Photos, The Row

"I like the pieces, it reminds me of the 1990’s minimalism look. I like it a lot." Cocosteaparty

Here’s how I found these photos. I saw a story on Erin’s site, Mkashley, about some scans from a look-book of Mary-Kate and Ashley’s upcoming, definitely not for kids, high-end label, The Row. I think it would be better named The Ho but that’s just me:

As you can see the quality and resolution of the scans wasn’t that great so I decided to go on a search. I noticed Erin found the photos at Jared’s site Justjared.

"Im looking forward to see the rest of the collection, i think that its gonna be really good actually!" BettY

His source was Annabelles’s website, Ultimatefrenchfashion.

From a commenter on her site I found out the photographer was Nicholas Samartis.

I Googled his name, found his website, and voila, tons more photo-shoot pics!

If you think Mary-Kate and Ashley aren’t serious about The Row then check out these statistics from this new article on Women’s Wear Daily:

For fall they doubled the number of The Row’s offerings:

  • $3,220 Tuscan lamb-fur coats

  • $1,700 cashmere tuxedo jackets with three-quarter sleeves

  • $875 banded strapless dresses and $360 legging-style pants

In addition to being sold at Barneys New York and Maxfield in Los Angeles they have expanded distribution worldwide to 29 premium retailers:

  • 10 Corso Como in Milan

  • Maria Luisa in Paris

  • Harvey Nichols in London

  • Jeffrey in Atlanta

  • Isetan in Tokyo

  • DNA in Saudi Arabia

  • Holt Renfrew in Toronto and Vancouver

"In comparison, the spring collection featured 28 knitwear pieces, such as silk Modal tanks retailing for $150 and floor-length Modal cardigans selling for $655…" - Women’s Wear Daily

Very disappointing. It looks like any other high end line. Expensive fabrics, expensive label, no personality. I had really hoped their adult line would be more trendy, more boho.

i like some of these clothes but some of them are horrible that women doesn’t help the clothes look any better. i like the olsen twins style ts great but these clothes don’t represent that and i think they should have a shop it the north east of england not just in london.

Well…I like it! A million times better than any other ‘celeb’ collection, though obviously those girls didn’t design it themselves.
