Ya, I have anorexia and I can admit it now which is a good thing–I am not lying to myself anymore. It is something I have lived with (not happily) for almost 10 years now and I am damn lucky to be alive still.
It is amazing that people are still posting on this thread into the new year! I wish MK and Ash all the best, and keep your chin up, Mary-Kate. After all these years I am finally getting a life, and there is peace for you out there. Good luck in all your endeavors!

Hey guys, i think these pictures of MK look so great. She is such an inspiration to me. I am recovering from anorexia (and not ashamed to admit it) and seing these pictures just prooves that you do truly look better when you put on weight after being underweight. I hope MK continues to fight her battle with anorexia and not give up, coz there are so many ppl who love her and are praying for her

Recently I had just overcome a bout of anorexia that I have been fighting for almost a year and a half. I know how hard it can be to overcome it. I am so proud of Mary-Kate for being so courageous and brave, to face her fears and wake up and realize that she has a problem. She is my idol and I have all of the respect in the world for her! She is one rockin’ female. She looked absolutely gorgeous and stunning in her beautiful in her blue gown. Go Mary-Kate Keep it up!!!! I am rooting for you all the way girl!!
hey im back again. i just wanted to say that Mk has heaps of support and for that i reckon she would be so thank ful. and i know what everyone is saying that she might take comments the wrong way and i agree with people on that issue. however, i do believe that people saying she looks so much better now she is looking healthier is by all means a good; actually a very very good comment to say, as it will show Mk that she is looking better and that beginng the road to recovery is the right path to choose. what i do not understand is how many of the girls writing comments are openly expressing that they have an eating disorder. when i was in hospital i did not want to talk about it or admit that i had an ED. i think that many of u should think about what u are saying here. it appears that many of the people claiming they have an ED are proud to have it. and it makes me wonder whether or not people want the attention. i dunno what to believe or think. all i know is that mary kate is looking so much better, and i know she may not feel it at the present time. but it all takes time.

Mary Kate is still a thin person. After suffering from anorexia myself it doesn’t help the person to say stuff like wow she’s not thin or she gained soo much weight even if u mean it in a nice way. She looks healthy and her normal self which is a thin and healthy person. Thanks for inspiring me Mary Kate.

I totally agree with Laura, but I will say that MK looks so much prettier now that she is not all skin and bones. I know though that saying someone who is struggling with an eating disorder, saying to them that they are looking “healthy” or “healthier” or “over their illness” can totally be triggering. I am not saying this just about MK, but to everyone– anorexia is serious and a touchy subject. I know from first-hand experience having been on death’s door numerous times. I am recalling when I was in a treatment program a few years back, and a fellow patient said to me, “You are starting to look healthy!” I got so upset and was interpreting it as being “fat”, but in actuality she was meaning it because I had some colour back in my face so I was glowing. At least I had the oportunity to clarify that. But regardless if you are at a “healthier” weight (because MK could still gain weight and be trim), it does not mean you are “cured” or “over it,” etc. I really cannot say for MK though because each person is individual, and only she will know for sure. I wish her the best of health and that she continues to ignore all the media speculation about her weight and gets on with her life, her TRUE self, not the eating disorder.:!:

I’m glad how MK is looking but with all these comment of how she has finally beaten anorexia and how she looks healthy *although it is the right thing* is the worst thing that could be said about her - she will interpret this as fat *by the media that will, for sure, be writing comments like this soon and they’ll be splashed all over everywhere*! To me, although she looks better, that does not mean she has beaten it - getting betetr physically does not mean mentally and she will probably still be abused by this disease for a long time and no amount og weight gained will get rid of that!

i love the fact that MK is showing her back proudly with no ribs sticking out, like on her movie premiere pics. ha, wonder how those pro-ana websites that had her as a “thinspiration” have to say now that she looks even better without looking like a holloween custom of a skeleton.
Compared to her appearence at the Hollywood Walk Of Fame last year, Mary-Kate has indeed put on weight and seems to have beaten her “eating disorder”. She’s still a bit skinny though, but she looks fine. I was worrying that it could get worse again after she and Stavros split up, but luckily I was wrong.
Anyway, these pictures are really pretty. I think Mary-Kate and Ashley’s make-up is very bold, I actually know such a intensive make-up rather from professional photo shootings than from public appearences. However, their stylists have done excellent work, I think it just perfectly fits their eyes.
The only things that looks funny is Mary-Kate’s bag. I think it looks like a ghetto blaster.

they both look stunning for once! no one can complain on mary-kate (like people always do) because she looks totally gorgeous!
my guess is that ashley (who is more interested in fashion and shopping etc.) has styled mary-kate. but mary-kate also wanted to have som things that represents her, like they home made band around her wrist and the black nails.
first i thought that they looked perfect, then i saw mk’s nails and thought that it looked terrible, but then i changed my mind because they really are “her” and it’s good to have something personal to add to your outfit.
so i would say that both girls look perfect!
it’s also great to se mary-kate’s revenge to her eating disorder! hope she’ll stay healthy because every inch of her glows right now!
