What I got from this post: Ashley Olsen smokes, and Mary-Kate is incredibly ditzy.
I don’t think Mary-Kate is an idiot. If she was one, NYU would have rejected her. I guess a person could argue NYU accepted her because they didn’t want to accept one twin, and reject the other, but I doubt universities of the caliber would admit anyone if they didn’t think was worthy.
It is obvious Mary-Kate has mental issues because of the many things she’s suffered from, but a lot of people with artistic leanings suffered from mental issues. The issues might have made them seem eccentric to other people; it might have made them seem like they had no sense of the world they are from, but it did not make them stupid.
Ashley does seem more mature than Mary-Kate. She is obviously mature in the way that society definies mature because she is doing everything society thinks a nineteen year old girl should do, but she also looks physically more mature. It might be a result of Mary-Kate’s old eating disorder though..
