Sweetie hold a drinking glass as far away from the shelf as Ashley is standing. You will notice magnification…It’s called refraction. Great luck in school but ease up on the specific diagnosis…it’s unwise….and a bit show-offy. Optosue I hope you “see” what I mean.
I would have to agree with Olivia’s opinion on Ashley’s glasses. There is definite magnification in her lenses which would suggest they are real. From an optometry students perspective, Ashley was probably given a weak prescription during a routine eye exam. By exposing her eyes to the corrective lenses she has in effect “trained” her eyes to see through them. Her vision without the glasses will no be worse and I would not be surprised if she has had another exam to increase the strength of her glasses now that she relies on them.
I suspect we will be seeing much more of Ashley wearing vintage (and possibly other) styles of glasses.
I enlarged the 4th picture down and could see that her right hand lens magnifys the shelf edge immediatly behind her. This would mean she is long sighted (far sighted). I’m long sigted and wear glasses all the time. I can see without my glasses but everything is slightly out of focus and I will get a headache especially if I read.
I first got glasses a few years ago just for reading. My eyes got a bit worse over those years and got stronger glasses. Even if Ashley usually only wears glasses for reading they might make everything look clearer and so she sometimes wears them all the time. She may even need glasses all the time and wears contact lenses when she’s not wearing glasses.
I think Ashley’s glasses are great. They are a very vintage looking frame which is way cool. The chunky plastic frame is much more interesting than a plain metal one. I like how they are really large for her face, they are sexy in a real nerdy librarian kinda way. Why do people say they look terrrible when vintage fashion is other forms is “in” at present??
I’m wondering though if she really needs glasses or just wears them for fun. Anyone know what her prescription is??
Ashley has two Hermes Birkin 35cm bags. One is black suede with gold hardware and the other is black togo leather with gold hardware. She is not the only teen who has one. Miss Lohan has one in turquoise. She wears her bag well. She looks like a proper little lady…the tortoise shell glasses look fabulous and give her a scholarly look. The Fendi Spy bag she has in the Zucca however is hideous. Bad taste. Mary Kate’s Fendi spy in the hologram leather is much more on target.

comment 24 the other girl is Victoria Traina. she is the daughters of Danielle Steele who writes romance novels. she is also wearing the same shoes as ash. (Christian Louboutin 5 inch, round toe pumps) except victoria’s are baby blue. I like ashley’s much better they are way cuter. Nicole Richie, Jessica Simpson and Gisele Bundchen also have these shoes in red. The jacket ash is wearing looks like Stella McCartney design but im not positive.

Wow really? That is so cool. I am so happy for Ashley and Mary-Kate for being able to do what they love and have whatever their heart desires. That’s what I wish for everyone. If only it were possible. I wish everyone could have the wonderful lives they have. I’m sure they both wake up every day and thank God for giving them the talent and the drive and the help of the best family in the world that made all this possible.
the glasses are fine … celebs need different looks to keep themselves exciting-looking. if they had a perfect look and kept that perfect look constantly, it would get uber boring. sometimes successful celebs need new looks, even if it may be less successful. and the glasses look well on ashley. it’s a “look”
they are leaving all the fame they used to have aside…
they’re not on TV very often as they used to be couple years ago….

think the glasses were a little too much. i know ashley (and mary-kate) are trendsetters and are a little before their time and that’s real cool but those kind of glasses wont be modern in like five or ten years.. sorry, major mistake ashley!
