?SNL? HITS ITS HIGHEST SEASON-FINALE OVERNIGHTS IN FOUR YEARS

THE ONE-TWO PUNCH OF MARY-KATE AND ASHLEY OLSEN HELPS SNL MATCH ITS SECOND-HIGHEST OVERNIGHTS OF THE 2003-04 SEASON

BURBANK, Calif. - May 16, 2004 - Saturday Night Live has wrapped up its 2003-04 season with the show's highest-rated season finale in four years, according to overnight metered-market household ratings from Nielsen Media Research. Last night's telecast, hosted by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and featuring musical guest J-Kwon, equaled the second-highest SNL overnights of the 2003-04 television season.

Last night's edition of Saturday Night Live attracted a 7.0 rating, 17 share in metered-market households, giving SNL its strongest result for a season finale since the May 20, 2000 telecast hosted by Jackie Chan. SNL's average in the local markets metered by Nielsen is up 9 percent versus the show's year-ago season finale (with a 7.0 rating vs. a 6.4).

The only telecast this season to improve on last night's 7.0 rating was the April 10 edition featuring Janet Jackson as host and musical guest (7.3/17).

National ratings for the May 15 telecast of SNL are due from Nielsen on Thursday.
