To get ready for the 2007 Costume Institute Gala tonight Mary-Kate wanted a tan but not just any tan. Here were her requirements:

• She need it fast. Preferably in 30 seconds or less because with her ADD she would start screaming if it took longer.
   

• She need it cheap, like with some sort of coupon dealio.
   

• She need it without the usual skin cancer because cancer is so last year.

Luckily she found a place that met all those requirements — Le Beach Club in Brentwood. They have this new Mystic Tan technology that allows you to get a spray on tan in 30 seconds or less depending on what size you are. In Mary-kate’s case it took 1.092 seconds. Look at her now!

A little orangy but they say that should go away, probably, maybe, not really.

As usual they had hidden cameras in all their booths for legal purposes in case someone sues for tanning malpractice like making you look orange. I asked if they could give me a vidcap of Kate doing her thing which they totally agreed to as long as I promised to not publish it.

I remarked that the vidcap didn’t look like her so much but they said it totally was her. I said ok, I trust you.

They say the booth can vibrate if the customer chooses to pay extra. She paid extra.
