She was once known for being ahead of the fashion curve, but yesterday, Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted sporting some tragic yet trendy knee high gladiator sandals.

The Wackness starlet paired her fancy footwear with a pair of ill-fitting short shorts, see-through blouse and a black blazer while leaving her boyfriend’s house in Hollywood yesterday.

And while her fashion sense has been hit-and-miss as of late, MK’s disposition in life is a good one thanks to BFF Jessica Stam.

Over the July 4th holiday weekend, the pint-sized fashionista and her Canadian model pal reportedly enjoyed a slew of parties. “I’ve never seen her [Mary-Kate] in such good spirits, and she didn’t look anything like her old emaciated self,” said an onlooker, adding that she didn’t consume a drop of alcohol.
