>> I’M CONFUSED: Didn’t the National Enquirer Break the John Edwards’ Story - 24Olsen
SOURCE: Mark Pasetsky's Cover Awards
For the second week in a row, the National Enquirer decides to make its huge story on John Edwards simply an inset on the cover promising new details.
And, I don’t get that strategy at all.
John Edwards’ confession on ABC has been the big story everyone is talking about - besides the Olympics and the election.
While the Mary-Kate story is strong - it feels a bit late.
The case is closed and who’s talking about Mary-Kate right now?
Perhaps, the National Enquirer thought all the magazines would jump on the John Edwards story and it would be cancelled out on the newsstand?
In a moment, you’ll see that’s true in one case - but ONLY ONE.
Bottom Line: The John Edwards’ scandal has put the National Enquirer back on the map and people believe it for the first time in years. It should have been the main cover!
