These Christian Louboutin for Rodarte Fall 2008 shoes brought about a lot of ooh’s, ahh’s and WTF’s!? when they first came out but I, personally, loved them. Of course, I don’t think I could ever manage to go out wearing a pair, but that hasn’t stopped me from dreaming and coveting, especially when I saw them on Mary-Kate Olsen for ELLE and Rachel Weisz for VOGUE this October.

The Rodarte Spring 2009 collection is even better and bolder. Just ask the pool of A-List stars that gathered around to see it! I loved the threading and shredding of the clothes in Fall 2008 (See Natalie Portman above), but I am even more in love with how the clothes for Spring 2009 go to a whole different (meaning, funkier and hotter) level with the process. See for yourself!

All this draping, tangling , shredding, dying and chain-linking mixed with leather, mesh and metal is just so S&M, how can you not be intrigued? The color palette is also a great balance of neutral with splashes of blue, violet and orange here and there. Then there are those crazy/beautiful Nicholas Kirkwood shoes! Yet again we have fierce, killer shoes that one would most likely fall in when worn but that doesn’t eradicate the fact that they’re all kinds of fabulous. All the details make this collection both dangerous and sexy, and not to mention extremely luscious. Oh, and those leather leggings were handmade, not lasered!
