Adrian Grenier and The Honey Brothers rocked Sundance without Lindsay Lohan to cheer them on!From EOnline's Party Girl:
Adrian Grenier landed at Sundance on Saturday, but Lindsay Lohan was nowhere to be seen. There were rumors that she was expected at the I'mAwake.com launch party at Celsius, where Adrian's band the Honey Brothers was performing, but it looks like Linds decided to stay in LA. Adrian seemed to be enjoying himself anyway, hanging out after his performance and talking to eager female fans.
Adrian told me earlier he never used the nasty pickup line reported on Radar.com. Instead, he said it's more his style to strike up a conversation with a girl by just saying hi instead of using an expletive-filled come-on. Nice to know Vinny Chase isn't a sleazeball. One partygoer overheard him saying he was calling Lindsay later.
Meanwhile, Josh Hartnett was also spotted partying all over the place. First, I ran into him the at the Be Kind Rewind party at the Lift. He was bundled up in a hat and scarf and hanging upstairs at the party, where guests were playing Guitar Hero. Josh opted to just watch and play on his iPhone instead. Too bad...I'd love to see him rock out. Later, Josh hit the Boost Mobile party at Marquee on Main Street and the Park City version of Hyde over at Village at the Yard.
Mary-Kate Olsen was also out and about. The tiny twin headed over to the Scanty Pajamas party at Stereo, to support BFF Samantha Ronson, who was performing an acoustic set. M.K. snuck in through a back entrance to the bash to avoid photogs. She was also at Stereo earlier that day for the Kenneth Cole Reaction gift suite, where she got gear from Triple Five Soul and makeup from Urban Decay.
Opting to skip the soiree scene yesterday in favor of swagging were Jessica Alba and Cash Warren. After touching down at Sundance, the two hit the T-Mobile Diner at Village at the Yard to sip hot cocoa and score some Timberland gear to ward off the freezing Utah temps. Later, over at the Kari Feinstein Style Lounge, I watched Cash help his preggers fiancée with her coat and wait patiently as she picked out jewelry from Marnie Rocks.
I'm leaving the cold weather behind and heading back to L.A. today, but there's plenty more from Park City to come, including my Q&A with 50 Cent, swag suite reports, party patrol and lots more! Mischa Barton is scheduled to make her first public appearance since her DUI at Sundance on Monday, so come back for the deets.
The accolades keep coming and coming!

indieWire
Indie Wire finds “The Wackness” to be youthful and refreshing!
A filmmaker who matters is someone capable of re-invigorating genres with spunk and a playful lack of caution. That’s Jonathan Levine, who wowed the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival audiences with his gory, sly horror film “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane.” His follow up is even better, the high-energy coming-of-age tale “The Wackness,” a fun-loving movie that audiences will find impossible to resist.

Variety
Variety considers Levine’s “second effort reps a considerable leap forward and should have far less trouble getting seen. Marketing toward viewers who came of age in the mid-’90s would help it avoid the classic Sundance hit/arthouse dud scenario; ancillary prospects are bright.”

Coming Soon
Coming Soon thinks this film is even better than Levine’s first!
With his second movie “The Wackness,” director Jonathan Levine looks to be joining the likes of Marcos Siega (”Pretty Persuasion”) and Craig Gillespie (”Lars and the Real Girl”) in the exclusive club of recent directors whose first two movies are released in the same year, with their second effort far surpassing the first. In this case, few people will even believe that Levine’s two movies were even by the same director maybe because unlike the teen slasher “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane”, Levine wrote “The Wackness” himself, presumably based on his own experiences living in New York City during the ‘90s.

We finally caught up with Mary-Kate Olsen!
The tiny twin went to the Kenneth Cole Reaction lounge on Saturday (pictured above leaving the gifting suite). She was cute and sweet. And looked good.
MKO refused to take pics, though, as she collected her SWAG. She came in the back and went out the back.
She hit up a few SWAG suites and dind't take pics anywhere.
As Stephanie Tanner would say, "How rude!"

“The Wackness” keeps doing better and better! Harvey Weinstein went to the show’s after party and buzz has been picking up both in Park City and across the movie industry!
Here are a few more reviews from the film!
CHUD
These guys are ready to call it the best film of the festival:
Is it too early to declare The Wackness the best film of Sundance 2008? I mean, it’s only day two (or three, if you actually got here on opening day), but I have a hard time imagining a movie I am going to love as completely as I loved this one. To be fair, I’m predisposed to adoring The Wackness - it’s set in New York City in 1994, which was where and when I was living what might turn out to be the best days of my life. But even beyond that, I think the movie is just wonderful and is real, honest, hilarious and even a little bit touching. Let me reiterate: I really loved this movie.

Film Threat
Film Threat gave it four stars!
Teen movies about finding yourself in the transition between high school and college have been run into the ground, so it was a complete shock for me when I watched Jonathon Levine’s heart felt and witty film, “The Wackness”…Levine wrote and directed this film, and deserves extra credit for the amazing screenplay. The dialogue is sharp, witty and will put the potty-mouthed “Superbad” to shame, while the cast delivers top-notch performance after performance.

Here’s Ashley Olsen chatting on her cell phone while heading to her car on January 18.
I’m not sure how I feel about that sweater. What do you guys think?

Here are the photos from the portrait shoot for the stars of “The Wackness.” I love the picture of Mary-Kate Olsen peeking out from behind the curtain! The cast photos also look like they were a good time.
