According to an article in Variety and others it seems that the vultures reporters at the Weeds TCA press conference were irked that they couldn’t spend the whole Weeds press conference grilling poor little Mary-Kate about all that juicy gossip that seems to swirl around her and Ashley like a pack of (f)lies. The reporters cried like babies and had the nerve to call her immature for trying to put the spotlight back onto Weeds where it belonged.
Earth to sleazy crybaby reporters: grow yourself up ya morons.
…Showtime may have hoped to lure in younger viewers when it signed on Mary-Kate Olsen for a role on "Weeds." But it couldn’t have been thrilled with the press reaction to the former child star.
Olsen looked somnolent, barely mumbling answers to the many questions she was asked, and distracted from talk about the series. The media got so perturbed (Canadian columnist Bill Brioux: "Acting like an adult was not a priority for Olsen on this day") that exec producer Jenji Kohan had to interrupt, "Let’s talk about ‘Weeds.’ "

We hate it..or maybe it’s just me, cause whenever i see them on the front page of a tabloid magazines and for example the title says “Mary-Kate Collapses or Ashley Olsen Caught On Drug Scandal”..i DON’T buy them,because i don’t trust Tabloid Magazines,why would i waste my money for that trash?! It probably depends on the person..if they want to support the media or not. And i DON’T support them.
And for the paparazzi pictures,we’re not the ones who buy the pics,it’s just that we cannot avoid them,cause they’re all over the net and even if you don’t go to some paparazzi websites,the photos would leak and we’ll see them but still that doesn’t mean that we support them. If you really are a fan of MKA,i’ll tell you guys..you should not buy their magazines,don’t waste your money!

Hey guess who they r doing it for. u Guys. They know u guys want to hear and read about the Olsen twins 24/7 and that makes them money to sell their stuff to u about them so I don’t know why u all criticise the media for. Im sure that when they hit the questions to Mary-kate they know that is what sells.

That’s ridiculous! Stupid reporters think they deserve the right to ask any questions they want because the people they are interviewing are FAMOUS. This event WASN’T about Mary-Kate, it was about WEEDS.
if you want MK to answer these questions, give her a front page spread in your magazine. about HER.

exactly! and it went on and on as if she was the only one there and mary-kate knew it was taking attention away from the other cast members and the show itself so she got a little irritated and started deflecting more and more questions which of course made the reporters angry since they knew they’ll get more juice reporting on her than the show itself. what makes me angry is they had the nerrrrrrrrve to get all upset at HER about it and accused HER of acting immaturely when it was the exact opposite: mary-kate was acting supremely mature in wanting whats best for the show and not herself. ironic.
I read this somewhere that the one reporter asked if her celebrity as an Olsen twin has cost her some acting jobs. I mean,that’s really offensive and a very immature question.
So,probably that’s the reason why MK became disinterested. The Medias are full of cr*p!!!
