So the story I posted last night was only partly right. The NY Times appears to have the most complete timeline to date.

The masseuse, Diana Wolozin, had an scheduled appointment with Heath Ledger. Mary-Kate Olsen is also a client. When Ms. Wolozin arrived for the appointment, Heath was lying face down on his bed. After shaking him and not receiving a response, she called Mary-Kate, who is in los Angeles. Mary-Kate and Heath are friends and Ms. Wolozin was trying to make sense of the situation before acting further.

Mary-Kate then said she would get Ashley’s private security to come investigate. The masseuse once again tried to wake Heath, called Mary-Kate a second time to tell her she was going to call 911. Ms. Wolozin then called 911.

The security guards called by MK arrived at the same time as the medical team. They stayed out of the way and were fully co-operative with the medical team and with the police.

A lot of people are giving the masseuse some flack in the media for not calling 911 first. While calling Mary-Kate shouldn’t have been her first move, I can only imagine how disoriented and panicked she must have been and took the course of action she felt was best at the time.

The cause of Heath’s death is still unknown.

My thoughts are prayers are with Heath’s family and friends.

Heath Ledger's masseuse placed a call to Mary-Kate Olsen after discovering the actor unconscious in his bed on Tuesday. Diane Lee Wolozin used Heath's personal cell phone to ring Mary-Kate, who is also a client of the celebrity masseuse, even before calling paramedics."Heath is unconscious, I don't know what to do," Wolozin told the actress, a police source tells PageSix.com. "I'm going to send someone over," the actress responded. Wolozin called Mary-Kate back minutes later and screamed, "I think he may be dead. I'm calling 911." Mary-Kate replied, "I've already sent someone over."The massuese called 911 and the operators gave her instructions on administering CPR. Wolozin attempted to resuscitate the actor until help arrived. EMS came on the scene at 3:33 p.m. at almost the same moment as one of Mary-Kate's bodyguards. Two more members of Mary-Kate's security team turned up shortly thereafter. Heath was pronounced dead at 3:36 p.m. Law enforcement sources tell PageSix.com that they do not believe that the delay in calling 911 played a role in the actor's death, as they believe that he had already passed away. Police have questioned all five people who were present in the room with the actor's body, the three staffers, the masseuse and the housekeeper.Police sources also tell PageSix.com that the actress is in California at the moment and police have not spoken to her yet. Calls to Mary-Kate's rep were not returned.

Did a masseuse call a young actress after finding Ledger's body?

Police tell ET they can't confirm an Associated Press report that the massage therapist who found HEATH LEDGER at the site of his death called MARY-KATE OLSEN upon discovering that the actor was unconscious.

The AP reports that after Olsen -- a contact on Ledger's cell phone -- told the masseuse that she would send over her private security, the massage therapist then dialed 911, and paramedics arrived with Olsen's security detail minutes later.

According to the AP, New York police say 28-year-old Ledger likely died Tuesday some time between 1 p.m. and 2:45, but police could not confirm that timeline to ET. At 1 p.m. the loft's housekeeper entered the actor's room to change a light bulb and witnessed him asleep, snoring, according to the AP. The massage therapist knocked on Ledger's door at approximately 2:45 and went in to investigate after not receiving an answer, the news service reports.

The New York Times is reporting some very interesting details about Heath Ledger's death... including the fact that Diana Wolozin, the masseuse who found Heath unconscious, speed-dialed Mary-Kate Olsen before calling 911! Mary-Kate, a friend of Heath, said "she would call some private security people she knew in New York, and hung up." Ms. Wolozin dialed 911 soon after at 3:26 p.m. X17 reported yesterday that a man believed to be MK's bodyguard was entering Heath's apartment building. Two other bodyguards summoned by MK showed up minutes later. Sadly, Ledger was pronounced dead at 3:36 p.m. Quite a bizarre connection here - but good to know that Mary-Kate did all she could being so far away. What do you think of these new details?

Using his cellphone, she used a speed-dial button to call Mary-Kate Olsen in California to seek her guidance, knowing Ms. Olsen to be a friend of Mr. Ledger’s.
