At a movie theatre in Battery Park city:

Two girls and a guy, standing right next to me at the concession stand, shaking up their popcorn.

The Olsen twins.

Of course, I just pretended to be cool, and basically ignored them, as they ignored me. This is my first real NYC celebrity siting, more or less since I don't recognize most people anyway. Though I did recognize Ben Affleck when they were filming Jersey Girl outside my old offices. But that wasn't an 'Oh, we're stars just hanging out' type of siting.

Update 12-31-2004:

I asked the author what movie they were going to see:

We were going to see The Incredibles. I don't know what they were seeing (not the same movie), but it was the day after Ocean's Twelve opened, so that would be my guess.
