Excuse my language but this really irritates the living f%ck out of me:
Bill Brioux: "Acting like an adult was not a priority for Olsen on this day"
According to an article in Variety and others it seems that the vultures reporters at the Weeds TCA press conference were irked that they couldn't spend the whole Weeds press conference grilling poor little Mary-Kate about all that juicy gossip that seems to swirl around her and Ashley like a pack of (f)lies. The reporters cried like babies and had the nerve to call her immature for trying to put the spotlight back onto Weeds where it belonged.
Earth to sleazy crybaby reporters: grow yourself up ya morons.
...Showtime may have hoped to lure in younger viewers when it signed on Mary-Kate Olsen for a role on "Weeds." But it couldn't have been thrilled with the press reaction to the former child star.
Olsen looked somnolent, barely mumbling answers to the many questions she was asked, and distracted from talk about the series. The media got so perturbed (Canadian columnist Bill Brioux: "Acting like an adult was not a priority for Olsen on this day") that exec producer Jenji Kohan had to interrupt, "Let's talk about 'Weeds.' "
Mary-Kate must be good luck eh? ;-)

SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 19
Lionsgate's acclaimed Showtime comedy WEEDS has scored five Emmy Award(R) nominations, including nods for Mary-Louise Parker for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series; Elizabeth Perkins for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series; Amy McIntyre Britt and Anya Colloff for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series; and David Helfand and William Turro, who earned individual nominations in the Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series category for two separate episodes.
In the clip Samantha says there's chemistry between Kate and Hunter but I get the feeling it's all an act, at least on Kay's part, and Mary-Kate will tire of him pretty fast.
He seems like a really nice guy and means well but to me he comes off slightly immature especially for someone like Mary-Kate who's 21 going on 40 intellectually.

"Cowabunga, let's party Majestic dudes."
HOLLYWOOD: Academy award winner Sean Penn has tentatively agreed for the first time to reprise his popular Jeff Spicoli character from the teen film classic Fast Times at Ridgemont High in an upcoming season 3 story arc of Showtime's smash hit comedy Weeds.
Season 3 premiers Monday, August 13th on Showtime in the USA.
When asked if it would be difficult to recreate the beloved character after all these years, Penn seemed supremely confident.
"All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, mucho dinero on the front end, some righteous residuals on the back, and I'm fine."
-Sean Penn
Wow, Penn is one stone cold corporate sellout. Awesome.
Sean went on to say he will play a rival for Mary-Kate's affections, infuriating Hunter Parrish's character Silas who is madly in love with Mary-Kate's character Tara, a stoned out Jesus freak (no offense to Jesus freaks, the world needs laughter).
Penn said at the end of his arc there will be a bloody battle to the death between Jeff and Silas over Tara. Penn said Jeff will win because it's in his contract that he must win all bloody battles or get an extra 2 million. They let him win.
Hey! Check out this classic video clip with Sean Penn as Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High where Jeff proves that anyone can make it, you just have to find your niche:
Here's another classic video clip with Spicoli and the always popular pizza dude and Mr. Hand where Jeff tries to be himself but gets slapped down by the hand of Mr. Hand.
update: Thanks to Lizzie at Olsenvideos for obtaining the these clips of Mary-Kate being interviewed by ET and Access Hollywood about her new role on Weeds.

Mary-Kate Olsen discusses her new role on Showtime's hit comedy, Weeds
The video won't play for me but maybe you guys will have better luck. It seems to require Internet Exploder which means Microsoft owns their asses. It asks to install some activex programs to make the damn thing work -- and it still doesn't work. They make it so hard don't they? "Oh no, we can't let anyone dl our videos. Oh heavens that would be the end of life as we know it. Therefore we're going to make every stupid mistake in the book to keep you from seeing them online too."
Of course the ad right above it plays just fine. :-P

Twelve years after ending her eight-year run on "Full House" -- the show that made her famous -- MARY-KATE OLSEN is back on TV, and ET is with the headline-making twin!
"I was so happy to be invited on the show," Ashley tells us. "It's such a smart show, and everyone's so talented. ... I really just jumped right in."
A completely different side of Mary-Kate will be seen as the new cast member of the hit Showtime series "Weeds" -- she will be featured in 10 of the 15 episodes of the third season, premiering Monday, August 13.
Mary-Kate plays Tara, a new love interest for Silas (HUNTER PARRISH), who's still heartbroken about an ex. So how does Ashley feel about her kissing scenes with Hunter?
"We make out all the time," she jokes.
"I'm probably blushing right now," Hunter says when asked about the kissing scenes. "We're both professional about it, but we have fun."
Actually, Ashley tells us she plays "a good Christian girl" on the show. "The one thing that we always make sure that I have on is a cross," she says of her wardrobe.
As for what her twin sis, ASHLEY, thinks of the show, Mary-Kate reveals, "She hadn't seen the show before I got the part, so when I told her I got a part on 'Weeds,' she said, 'What's that?'" she laughs. "Now she loves the show and she's really happy for me."
update: uh, forget what I said, here are the photos. :-P
Showtime TCA Arrivals
"You scratch my ride, you die, got it?"
(more...)Mary-Kate decided to buy Weeds for $10 million so she could have more creative control. No more being cut out like in Factory Girl. Those f*ckers'll pay for that. It's on her list of things to crush.
Here we see Mary laying down the law, taking names, kicking ass, and drinking some Jack Daniels cause she can and that's the way she rolls. They hate her already. They're complaining she's a total control freak. On the other hand they like the free clothes and the Krispy Kreems.
"Yeah, and, like, I want to move the show to Australia. They got some bitchin waves there man. We could do a show on surfing while high on weed. Ever try that? It's awesome dude."
"Yo, dude with the glasses, your stealing my thunder. This is all about me got it? I'm all that and a bag of pretzels so bugger off."
"I'm what? I'm hunching? Your fired. Next."
"Uh oh, this dude is closing in on me. Meat shield, code blue, take him down, do the usual anal probe or whatever, then terminate with extreme etc. Ok what were we talking about? Oh yeah, me."
"Have you ever glued you hand to your glasses?"

Mary-Kate will play Tara on the Showtime comedy "Weeds."
Mary-Kate Olsen is returning to television with a co-starring role on Showtime's dark comedy "Weeds."
On the Lionsgate-produced show, Olsen will play Tara, a devoted Christian girl living in the newly developed megachurch community Majestic who becomes a love interest for Nancy Botwin's (Mary-Louise Parker) son Silas (Hunter Parrish). Olsen will appear in 10 of the 15 episodes of the show's third season.
"I'm thrilled to be a part of the show," Olsen said. "It's really an honor to be a part of such a talented group of actors and writers."
