The Olsens Are Doing a Juniors Collection for JCPenneyWe just received an invite to preview a juniors' line for JCPenney called Olsenboye by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. We can't be sure of too many details at the moment, but the flyer lists Olsenboye.com as the line's website. The site doesn't appear to be up yet. But if the line is in previews now, it must be slated for a spring launch. The Olsens join the elite ranks of fellow JCPenney designers Kimora Lee Simmons and Charlotte Ronson. If the line is like an affordable version of the Row or Elizabeth & James, JCPenney just got a whole lot cooler. The Olsens Are Welcomed Into The CFDA• Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen posed with Council of Fashion Designers of America executive director Steven Kolb at their CFDA induction on Wednesday. • The twins are just two of 31 designers welcomed into the elite Council this year. Olsen Sisters, Alexander Wang, and More Inducted to CFDALast night, CFDA President Diane von Furstenberg inducted a whopping 31 new and talented designers to the council's ranks, including Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, Alexander Wang, Chris Benz, and Jason Wu. Before Diane von Furstenberg took the reins of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, apparently the number of yearly inductees was about half the number joining the organization this year, but Furstenberg's approach has always been more inclusive, treating the CFDA more like a family. And, indeed, there was much familial mingling at the Four Seasons last night, as new members mixed with established members like Vera Wang, Rebecca Taylor, and Tory Burch. Some even revealed their early fashion ensembles -- Chris Benz, for example, wore Cookie Monster slippers, while the Olsen gals as pre-teens tailored grown-up clothes for their smaller figures.
