Basically it seems the giant multiheaded monster of New York celebrity heads to the West Village watering hole every other weekend to savor its salad days with a side of saliva.

Heath Ledger, for one, reportedly spent a recent evening at the exclusive nightspot “kissing and making out” with Kate Hudson.

Then there's Mary-Kate Olsen, who was spotted there last Saturday night necking with her libidinous dernier cri—Nate Lowman, a 28-year-old N.Y.U. graduate.

W's Editors' Blog also reports today that Mr. Lowman, a dude described as having “pallid tortured-artist good looks and a penchant for flannel shirts,” lent his artwork to a current New Museum exhibition called “Unmonumental.”

Contrarily, the Beatrice’s squinty dimness and Ms. Olsen’s often-uncanny likeness to Rose Kennedy must have lent the torrid scene a decidedly monumental air.

Mr. Lowman is a Brooklyn native, according to his bio on the Web site for Galerie Edward Mitterrand, which not long ago sold one of his silkscreens, entitled “Bullet Hole”—a piece as handsome as it is bleak.

In the newest issue of Nylon, Mary-Kate is wearing a pair of Christian Louboutins that probably weigh more than she does. All the more reason I should have them instead -- she could HURT herself!

My attempts to ID the Louboutins has so far been fruitless. Here's as close as I came:

Wah. Even less of a cigar. Anyway, if anyone knows what the Louboutins that MK is wearing are called, please lemme know. If only to assuage my curiosity.

Also, and oddly, I've never had this problem before, but I've HEARD that people sometimes refer to their Louboutins as "Loubs." PLEASE don't. It sounds sort of like an infection.

The Fashion Nugget hearts Mary-Kate Olsen because she can wear a plaid throw as a dress and get away with it. This week, she's stealing our hearts yet again in these six inch Giambattista Valli "Victoria" shoes (named after Victoria Beckham). I'm taking time from my busy watching old episodes of Popworld on Youtube schedule (ha, that reminded me of "...get Marky Mark to take time from his busy pants-dropping schedule to plant a tree"), to return to an old love of mine...Miss Mary-Kate Olsen.
How long has it been? Days? Weeks? Months? My love for her has not faded. I did, however, find a rather alarming picture, though I think it's a bit old.
To remind you, she's 21, not a 74-year-old ex-hippie.
And according to their website, this is Mary-Kate's clothing recommendation for 2007.
I whole-heartedly approve. I would have a Christmas without a Christmas tree if it meant receiving this jacket. Unfortunately, it's from their haute couture line The Row, meaning it costs about $300.
I could get a job on the mainland as a lumberjack and guess what? I'd probably get one for free. But it wouldn't say "Olsen" on the tag, and if there's no Olsen, there's no point.

Kathleen asked me about this, so I’ve been looking into it. Earlier this year, when “The Informers” movie was announced, Ashley Olsen was on the cast list. She isn’t anymore–not at IMDB or at Wikipedia.

She was supposed to play Winona Ryder’s stepdaughter, a “promiscuous mysterious woman”, but it now appears that Amber Heard is playing that role.

I have no word on whether Ashley dropped out of the film, or was never in it in the first place, or if she’s still in the film and IMDB has their information wrong.

If its true, it’s too bad–I was looking forward to seeing Ashley act again!
